Championing Land Conservation in the Texas Hill Country: Resources for Local Advocates

03/05/2021 10:00 AM - 03:00 PM CT

Description

Central Texas is growing at an incredible pace, with a projected doubling of the population in the next 30 years. Investment in the conservation of rural ranchlands, open spaces, and parks can ensure that our quality of life, economic vitality, and water resources are there for future generations.

This workshop will provide local advocates with the informational resources and relationships needed to advance planning for land conservation initiatives in their counties and will feature Will Abberger of the Trust for Public Land, insights from elected officials, advocates, and campaign professionals with direct experience securing public investment for land conservation, and opportunities for peer-to-peer learning.

Registration costs $15 per person - please reach out to John Rooney at john@hillcountryalliance.org if the registration fee is cost-prohibitive.
